It is reported that KEDA Zambia Ceramics Factory has a total investment of 50 million US dollars, a construction area of 103,000 square meters, 74,000 cubic meters of earthwork, nearly 65,000 tons of reinforced concrete and steel construction, more than 1,700 sets of equipment installation and commissioning, and 107,000 tons of raw materials and fuels purchased into the factory.
The first phase of the project plans to build two production lines of architectural ceramics, mainly producing ceramic tiles, colored glaze, antique, glazing and other ceramic tile products, with a designed daily production capacity of 30,000 square meters, which is the first architectural ceramics production project of KEDA layout in Central Africa.Since the ground breaking on July 8, 2020, it has taken 261 days to realize the ignition ceremony of K1 porcelain kiln on March 26, 2021.
